Footprint Introduction Project

Description: Students should sketch out an idea for their individual interests they want in their footprint. Once that is finished trace and cut out a footprint. Next, create and add individual interests onto the foot using a minimum of three mediums (construction paper, markers, stickers, crayons etc.). Finally, students will introduce themselves to the class and fill out the rubric to hand in for grading.

- My favorite color is pink which is why the footprint background is pink.

- I added a palette and paintbrush because that is one of my favorite mediums to work in.

- My dogs, Lucky and Luna, and very important to me so I had to add them in.

- I love to hunt ducks and catch small mouth bass.

- I am referred to as a princess by many and outside of the lake and field I definitely am.

- My hometown, Watertown, and my family is extremely important to me and motivate me everyday.

- My favorite NFL team is the Green Bay Packers so I added green and gold lines on the edge of the footprint.

Extension Activity:

* Write a paragraph over three of the objects on the footprint and describe how they are important to you

* Make a footprint for someone else to tie into history with the creation of a historical figure
